If You Are Called To Write, Then Write

Stepping out of my comfort zone is a theme that it is interwoven in the fabric of my life. It is the thread of my tapestry that emphasizes the sovereignty of God. It is that thread that reminds me that my life was created to be one of faith and not fear. If God has called me to step out in faith, then there is nothing I have to fear. For He is with me. (Isaiah 41:10)

This journey of blogging was one I did not want to travel. I love to write and I know God called me to write, but I did not want to blog. I listened to the voice of my enemy who convinced me for so long that I had nothing of value to say. God’s calling was made clear to me many years ago, yet I disobeyed. I gave excuses as to why “this time” was not the right time in my life.

Has God called you to something? Are you giving excuses not to obey? Have you listened to the lies of Satan?

One day I read something that resonated with me. I felt it was God’s breath to my soul. The bold letters within the text whispered in my ears God’s gentle voice as His peace washed over my heart; if you are called to write then write. So, here I sit in obedience, not to my desire to write but to God’s calling on my life. The words He gives me to share may be for my benefit only, but I am praying that this journey God has me on will be of encouragement to someone else.

“For I know what I have planned for you, says the LORD. I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NET

This is a promise from God. If He promises that His plan will be a prosperous one and not a harmful one then why not trust our God who is faithful?

I am learning when I am outside of my comfort zone I experience God the most. Growing in my walk with Him and deepening my relationship with Him is the longing of my heart.

I pray that you will be encouraged to step out of your comfort zone and allow God to deepen your walk with Him and your relationship with Him.
